I believe that the Midwestern work ethic has degraded our quality of life. People work too hard, and counter to popular belief, hard work does not equal success. Certainly not the version of success so many of us are striving for.

I believe that our kids model what we do. When we work so hard that we aren’t “present” with them, they learn that adult work is IMPORTANT. That our adult work is MORE important than their feelings, opinions, and projects.

We teach work ethic and forget about the people we’re working for. Really working for. Think about it - if you didn’t have kids, would you be working so hard? Or would you take a little more time off and do fun stuff?

How can you restructure your life so that you can work smarter and have more time for the kids while they’re little?

If I can do one thing to make a difference, it is to help hard-working parents spend more time with their kids while they’re young. To get parents away from the job site and into the home.

And if I can do that by handling their marketing for them, bringing back better customers more often, parents can enjoy the financial rewards and personal benefits of both worlds.
